The Warden Shields of Heroes Gate
The Wardens Guild in Athkatla organizes its protectors-for-hire into tight knit groups called ‘Shields’. The Steward (and founder) of the guild, Marlonmir Emberjaw, invests a lot into his protectors, and into the groups they form. A Shield needs to be well-formed in terms of skills and abilities, but also… they need to be well-formed relationally. There is a certain art to forming a group that will survive and thrive as protectors in the realms.
The Wardens Guild currently has nearly a dozen active shields working contracts in the Sword Coast region of the realms. Our adventures here will focus on just three of them.
